We walked down to the river bank and it became evident that Nicky did not know what to do with this thing called a river. I led him to the water's edge and threw a piece of stick in front of him while i said "Go, go..." After some hesitation he waded in. A few more steps... some hesitation as the water began to lift his body and then... he discovered paw paddling.
Nicky then returned to shore not quite sure of what he had done. I then put down the camera and started throwing sticks into the water. Nicky then discovered what this new fun was all about and could not get enough of it.
The Nooksak might look placid but the current is quite strong. Nicky was just as quite up for it.
To dry him off, we then walked down the trail all the way to bridge over the highway. On the way Nicky encountered a flower.
